Gas Utility Consults PFES to Complete Data Integrity Project

Overview

A Midwest gas utility halted a data integrity project mid-project in 2019. After several years' hiatus, they turned to PFES to screen and hire a team of document control specialists to take on several detail-oriented roles and finally bring this critical project to completion.

Our Approach

PFES screened and interviewed over a dozen candidates to build a team of nine, with one lead to manage the multiple scopes within the data integrity project.

PFES took on the onboarding coordination, day-to-day oversight, progress tracking, and personnel management for the project.

Key Challenges:

  1. The data integrity project needed to be picked up right where it was previously left off 2+ years ago.
  2. Files requiring review are scans of handwriting or microfiche, making legibility challenging.
  3. Limited timeframe and budget.
  4. Lack of staff to handle the day-to-day project management.

Outcome

Picking up right where the project was left off years prior, PFES consultants have taken on tasks from QA review, to indexing and uploading various old service cards and documentation.

Having completed initial training, PFES is now performing the oversight of daily production with a weekly dashboard of the status to the client lead and upper management.
