Steve Taipala has nearly 30 years of Energy industry experience including natural gas pipeline, electric (overhead and underground), and manufacturing, with a specialty in linear corridor construction, substations, compressor stations, directional drilling, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and detailed planning. He has worked in engineering, project management, operations, compliance, project controls, risk management and leadership.

He enjoys building relationships, working collaboratively, and helping others by listening, asking questions, learning, advising, and implementing solutions accordingly. Steve's professional experiences enable a holistic view of how a company operates, putting particular focus on active management, team engagement, transparency, and leveraging diverse backgrounds and skills. He understands the importance of using tools effectively and seeks to utilize them for the needs of the organization.

Steve is a licensed Professional Engineer and has participated in industry and academic groups studying project and program management. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University and enjoys volunteering with community support groups, National Ski Patrol, and Scouts BSA.
